Children's Programs

Barron Public Library Children’s Services is located in the older Carnegie portion of the building.

The current children’s area used to house the Adult services before the addition in 1998.

The Carnegie portion celebrated its 100 Year Old Anniversary in 2013!

Youth Materials:

Picture books for everyone, beginning readers, chapter and nonfiction books, graphic novels,

music for children, board books, audio books on CD and MP3, puppet kits & storytime kits,

children’s magazines, play area with rocking chair, study table, Wi-Fi, electrical outlets,


Youth Programs:

Free children's programs such as Saturday storytime and craft, Make and Take Thursdays, and Tuesday Music time.

We offer different family programs every month, as well as adult and youth Summer Reading Programs.

Program information:

Make and Take Thursdays from 4:30-6pm

Come and make a different craft every Thursday from 4:30-6pm.  Stop in anytime between 4:30 and 6pm to

create something unique and fun!  Things can get messy, so wear appropriate clothes for mess making!

Saturday Family story time and craft @ 10:30am

Every Saturday at 10:30am we will be reading stories and making a different crafts afterwards.  Come check it out!


Music Time Tuesdays at 4pm

We have guitars, drums, a keyboard and more for you and your child to explore.  Feel free to bring your own instrumnets as well.  Come in and jam with us!
