Barron Public Library Children’s Services is located in the older Carnegie portion of the building.

The current children’s area used to house the Adult services before the addition in 1998.

The Carnegie portion celebrated its 100 Year Old Anniversary in 2013!

Services include:

Picture books for everyone, Beginning readers, Chapter and nonfiction books, Graphic novels,

Music for children, Board books, Audio books on CD and MP3, Puppet kits & StorytTime kits,

Children’s magazines, Play area with rocking chair, Study table, Wi-Fi, electrical outlets,

StoryTime Program, 1000 Books B4K Program, and a Book a StoryTime Program.

Program information:

"Book a StoryTime" is a program designed for parents and caregivers who cannot attend the

Tuesday scheduled StoryTime Program.  Schedule your own 30 minute StoryTime @ Barron PL.

Call the Library 1 hour ahead of your Library visit and enjoy stories, fingerplays, and easy art projects.

You can schedule 1 per week and the programs mimics the Tuesday edition of Storytime.

Available times are: Monday & Wednesday 1pm-3:30pm or Wednesday & Thursday 10am-11:30am.

"StoryTime Kits" Have fun at home wiht a Story Kit! Design for parents and caregivers who want

to provide a program at home. Kits include puppets, puzzles, songs, books, mainpulatives and

suggested materials. Available for 3 week checkout. Ther are 7 kits available and they are titled:

"Explore Colors"

"ABC Soup"

"Farm Critters"

"I Spy"

"Kids sing out loud"

"Play with me!"

"Seusssical Rhymes"

"1000 Books B4K" Read 1000 Books, Color 100 Pictures, Sing 10 Songs, and Become 1 Curious Child!
